It’s time for a lucky streak of sevens. In celebration of Omega’s seventh special participation in a 007 movie, they are launching the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M “Skyfall” Limited Edition watch, with only 5,007 pieces.
Daniel Craig, who has portrayed James Bond in the last two films, will wear an Omega Seamaster in the upcoming autumn release of Skyfall.
As with its antecedents, the latest from the Planet Ocean collection welcomes an underwater adventure that is water resistant up to 2,000 feet, and features a helium escape valve and a unidirectional rotating diving bezel. This particular model is more prominent than past versions, with its black ceramic ring with a chromium nitride diving scale.
This particular limited edition watch is powered by Omega’s exclusive new Co-Axial caliber 8507. It is also equipped with an “Si14” silicon balance spring which, combined with the Co-Axial, provides a new level of stability and reliability, meriting a full four-year warranty. That’s right; this wristwatch will work as hard and be as unbeatable as its character inspiration. Skyfall 007 is on its rotor in black-varnished engraving. The movement is visible through sapphire crystal in the brushed screw-in caseback.
The applied indexes on the matt structured black dial are coated with white Super-LumiNova emitting a blue light, same as the facetted rhodium-plated hands. The minute hand and the dot on the diving bezel, however, emit a green light. This precise difference is to make it more convenient for divers to know the time at a glance.
This tribute timepiece has a 42 mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, paired with a patented screw-and-pin bracelet; the divers’ clasp is engraved with “007.” At the dial’s 7 o’clock is a 007 logo and at 3 o’clock is a date window.
