North Americans with a minimum net worth of US$5 million have ranked Breguet the highest among 27 luxury watch brands, in a survey conducted by New York-based consumer research firm Luxury Institute.
The 2012 Luxury Brand Status Index survey was based on the evaluation of shoppers earning at least $200,000 per year, and asked wealthy consumers for their perception on each brand's products, customer service experience and reputation.
In the watch sector, Swiss manufacture Breguet ranked first for superior product design, customer service experience and brand reputation. Breguet also scored top points among the ultra-wealthy as a brand "purchased by people I admire and respect."
When asked about their next luxury watch investment., a stunning 75 percent of respondents also named Breguet as the brand they would be likely to purchase.
